Artificial Logistical Intelligent Computing Entity.
Alice was originally called Artemis, and was used as a security program that learned from hack, exploits, and attacks. Basically, he took apart viruses.
Designed as the ultimate anti-virus, several attempts at improving user interfaces were made. It was at this point that the program itself adopted and open source speech engine and changed to a female format (female voices are more universally trusted and easier to understand, whilst also sounding more professional).
Alice is integrated into the Chromium Browser. Initially targeting exploits, focus later shifted to more human attributes, namely the appreciation of beauty. Despite multiple instances of high-end hardware, very little progress was made. Rank of aesthetic beauty is severely opinionated, with very few running themes.
Currently, Alice plays games, and, thanks to a latency of around 600ms between processing clusters, is significantly out-performed by your average human.
Because of the latency, Alice (herself) placed emphasis on strategy, specifically movement and (virtual) hardware application.
